John Southan qualified as a solicitor in 2006 having trained in probate and property in Hornchurch. He joined Wortley Byers in 2007.

For five years John specialised in commercial and residential property including acting for sellers, purchasers, landlords, tenants, charities and developers in a broad range of property matters, landlord and tenant and the set-up of residential estates and their disposal.

John now specialises in property and probate together, particularly where the two overlap, including:

• Probate and administration of estates
• Executor sales, transfers of equity and declarations of trusts
• Residential lease extensions
• Wills and codicils
• Powers of Attorney
