We are currently considering our trainee requirement for 2010 and this will be completed shortly. Should you wish to submit your CV in anticipation of recruitment occurring please send it along with a covering letter to Anne Elliss.
Trainee solicitors will sit with Partners or Associates and it is anticipated that they will spend approximately six months in our Litigation department, six months in our Corporate Commercial Department and eight months in our Property Department (undertaking both residential and commercial work). There is also scope to have a seat within our Wills, Probate, Tax & Trusts Department depending on the needs of that department from time to time.
The final four months of the training contract is anticipated to include completion of the Professional Skills Course and the remaining time will be spent in the department into which the trainee will qualify. This is hoped to ensure that each newly qualified solicitor is ready and prepared to begin their qualified professional life with Wortley Byers.
