Wortley Byers Law has many years’ experience providing specialist advice on all aspects of family law, including divorce, finance issues and the breakdown of unmarried relationships.
We achieve resolutions by dealing with disputes in constructive ways, designed to preserve people’s dignity and encourage agreements. We also ensure consideration is given to balancing any steps against financial and emotional costs. Our accredited family specialist deals with these matters in a confidential and non-confrontational manner, and can offer mediation where necessary or appropriate.
Areas we can help with include:
Our team of professionals are all accredited by Resolution with some awarded with 'specialist' and 'collaborative law' status. Resolution is an organisation of 6,500 family lawyers and other professionals in England and Wales, who believe in a constructive, non-confrontational approach to family law matters. Resolution also campaigns for improvements to the family justice system.
We also carry the Law Society, Family Law Advanced Accreditation which covers specialist areas of family law work. Members will have demonstrated expertise in two or more areas, comprising: children law private; child abduction and wardship; cohabitation; violence in the home; advice in and conduct of ancillary relief; international issues and complex asset cases.
We agree all charges before we start work and, where appropriate, provide estimates and interim billings. We offer a variety of funding, but do not offer legal aid.
