CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Wortley Byers - Corporate social responsibility

Wortley Byers Law supports numerous local charities and community events, helping notable organisations to serve local worthy causes. We strive to engage across the whole spectrum including charities, schools and the Brentwood business community.

We regularly undertake 'Make a Will' schemes and participate in fellow professionals' charity events for worthy causes such as the Anthony Nolan Trust, Farleigh Hospice, Little Havens Hospice and the NSPCC.

Fledgling student talent is recognised by the firm with the Wortley Byers Law Award at Brentwood School's art exhibition. We regularly support the 'Employer Engagement Day' (Shenfield School) 'Careers Fair' (Brentwood County School).

Support of Comic Relief and Children in Need is an ongoing feature in our fundraising events.

Each year Wortley Byers Law co-sponsors the Brentwood Half Marathon and Fun Run which is the largest running event in Essex with a record 4,000+ runners taking on the 13-mile route. The event is well known among serious runners as a warm-up for the London marathon.

Wortley Byers Law is also co-event sponsor for the Essex Business Excellence Awards and judge for the 'Best Growing Business' and 'Essex Business of the Year' categories. We are delighted to be involved with local business and to help them achieve the recognition they deserve.

Autumn 2016 saw the launch of the first Brentwood Business Showcase which was exclusively sponsored by the firm and where local business delegates had the opportunity to attend our legal workshops.
